I meant to write yesterday, but by the time I got settled enough to write. My energy had been spent. I’ve been working on a book and it’s draining to tell the truth. Old memories, come with old emotions and sometimes I find myself trying to see through tears. Some days I can whip through and get everything out and other days I struggle.
Healing from trauma is work that happens everyday. I am most gentle with myself now, meaning; when I’m tired, I rest. I learned how to take care of me so I can take care of others. I create an atmosphere of regeneration, from the things I watch, read and eat. I mentioned my steam pot in another post but what I didn’t say is I use my steam pot almost everyday. Depending on the need. Today, my home is filled with earthy smells such as, cedar and sage. Calms me, connects me. Music is a must for the mood. Take care of spirit too.
